Margao: Marago police arrested Ahmed Sheikh, 38 r/o Davorlim for assaulting his wife Shajida Sheikh, 37 with iron rod.
The incident took place on Navelim, Rawandfond road today morning.
Shajida was badly injured and admitted in Goa Medical College.
Police sources said that Ahmed had suspicion of his wife having extra martital affair and hence he assaulted her.
