SALIGAO: Saligao Police has arrested accused person Prajakta Khavnekar a native of Kudal- Maharashtra for committing theft of gold ornaments worth 2.90 lakhs.
Saligao PS crime No.15/2023 U/s 380 IPC stands registered upon the complaint of Mrs. Nishita w/o Digambar Naik,, Salmona wado, Saligao, to the effect that between 2200hrs on 03/04/2023 to 1100hrs of 04/04/2023 accused person committed theft of Gold Ornaments.
i.e 1) Mangalsutra weighing 37 grms, 2) one Chain with 2 lockets 26 grms, 3) two pair of earrings weighing 4 grms 6) Patli (single) weighing 12 grms, 7) 05 bangles weighing 40 grms, 08) Nath weighing 02 grms, 09) 02 finger rings weighing 08 grms all W/Rs 2,90,000/- approximately.
With Meticulous and hectic efforts of the staff of saligao Police station ie ASI Suryakant Kolvalkar, HC- 7218 Tarak Kundaikar, PC-7012 Rudresh Naik and PC- 5816 Vishant Mayekar nabbed the accused person and she has remanded into 04 days Police Custody.
Further during the course of investigation gold Mangalsutra weighing 37 grms had recovered at instant of accused person.
ASI Suryakant Kolvalkar is further investigating the case under the supervision of PI Milind Bhuimbar and SDPO Vishwesh Karpe.
