VALPOI: Valpoi Police have booked one person for storing crude bombs meant to be used for hunting wild animals.
As per SDPO Bicholim Jivba Dalvi information was received that one person has stored explosive material for hunting wild animals.
Accordingly a team was formed which obtained house search warrant and conducted search of a rented room at Hathwada, Valpoi along with Forensic laboratory staff and Bomb Disposal Squad.
The house was owned by Sabdar Aga of Muslimwada which was situated at Hathwada, Valpoi Sattari, Goa.
During the House search Panchanama the rooms which are given on rented basis by Sabdar Aga to his tenants were searched.
Further during the search of third room one Zakir Hussain of was found to be staying in the room.
Further the search of his entire room was conducted wherein 05 suspected to be crude explosive bombs and 04 metal mini swords and 01 stainless steel chopper was found in his room.
Zakir Hussain was asked about the same wherein he disclosed that the said bombs are used for hunting of wild animals.
The accused Zakir Hussain s/o Abdul Wahab, r/o c/o Kubram Bi Aga, behind Islampur Masjid, Hathwada, Valpoi Sattari, Goa and permanent resident of Chimbel, Tiswadi, Goa was placed under arrest under sections 288 of BNS , Section 3 and 4 of explosive Act and Section 9 of Wild life Protection Act 1972.

Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of PI Valpoi Videsh Shirodkar and SDPO Bicholim Jivba Dalvi and SP North Akshay Kaushal, IPS.
