PANAJI: As Goa Forward party leader proposed to bring in a political revolution in Goa, the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant termed it as move with “selfish interest”.
Speaking to reporters after paying tributes to the martyrs’ memorial in Panaji on occasion of Goa Revolution Day, Sawant said that some parties wants to have political revolution in the State for their selfish interest.
He also said that his BJP government on the other hand is working to create a revolution on the development front.
Sawant said all the MLAs, Ministers, leaders, irrespective of political affiliation, should join hands to create a revolution in the State.
“We want to create a revolution in education, development, becoming ‘swayampoorna’ (self-reliant) and other fronts. I appeal to people to join hands with the government to make this revolution possible,” Sawant said in presence of Governor B. S. Koshyari.
“While we want to create a revolution on development front, some political parties with their selfish interest want to have a political revolution in the State,” he said, without referring to any party.
