PANAJI: AICC Senior Goa Election Incharge P Chidambaram today said that Goa is not any colony that will be colonized by some political parties but will be governed by Goans.
“Goa will be governed by Goans; Goa is not any colony that will be colonized by some political parties but will be governed by Goans,” said Chidambaram during the inaugural of GPCC office in Panaji.
He further said that once the Congress party gets the majority, it will form the state government and not commit the mistake in 2017.
“The mistakes of 2017 will not happen, and instant decisions will be taken here in Panaji, and then a letter will be given to the governor to stake a claim”, he said.
Chidambaram said that the party that wins in Goa will go on to win the Lok Sabha polls.
“I am sure that the party that wins in Goa will go on to win Lok Sabha polls. We are battle ready for elections; we will win Goa and then India,” said Chidambaram.
He refused to talk about the possible alliance with the like-minded parties for the next year’s Assembly polls.
Chidambaram said that the people of the state should believe in the Congress as it is the only option for the people and provide job opportunities, business environment and most importantly, deliver good governance to Goans.
