PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that all pending payments to beneficiaries under social schemes will be done by September 15.
Sawant was speaking to media on the sidelines of a government event.
“Be it Social Welfare, Tribal or Women and Child schemes. The pending money will be released to all the beneficiaries before or on September 15,” said Sawant.
He further said that his government is also working to grant additional sanction letters to various scheme.
The opposition and even legislators from the ruling side had expressed dismay over the inordinate delay in disbursal of scheme benefits, particularly Griha Aadhaar, Laadli Laxmi, Dayanand Social Security Scheme and other tribal benefit schemes.
“I have told the social welfare department, whether it is Atal Asra Yojana, DSSS… all the schemes will be expedited,” Sawant had said.
