PA NAJI: Alleged job fraud The Panaji police have now charged Pooja Naik with defrauding a job seeker of Rs 6 lakh while claiming to have secured a position in a government agency.
Pooja Naik, an Old Goan inhabitant, has been the subject of numerous similar allegations filed at other police stations. Sushma Naik, a Calapur Tiswadi resident, submitted the complaint, stating that the incident happened in September 2020. The accused allegedly promised to assist Sushma Naik in obtaining a position with the government, according to the police.
Pooja persuaded her to pay a total of Rs 6 lakh over the course of multiple transactions.
But after getting the money, Pooja Naik didn’t fulfill her end of the bargain and didn’t give the task or return the money.
After Sunil Borkar, a resident of Nagmodem, Navelim, filed a complaint, the arrest was made.
The lawsuit claims that Achari, who lives in Margao but is originally from Archariwada, Shadashivgad, Karwar, and Gawde, who is from São José Areal, stole Rs 16.12 lakh from Borkar.
Four years ago, the two women allegedly offered him a position at Seabird Naval Base Karwar, but they haven’t fulfilled their pledge as of yet.
The accused were brought for medical examinations after their arrest.
