PANAJI: Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd (IPSCDL) CEO and MD Sanjit Rodrigues said that works have been delayed to high water tables owing to rains.
“Work slowed because of High water tables owing to rains but we are ramping up shifts and manpower to meet the deadline for work completion, renewed stress is connecting drains,” said Sanjit Rodrigues after review meeting of Smart City
He further said that More people will be employed (shifts to be increased) to complete smart city works by 31st May.
“During the the rain last Saturday, we understood our bottlenecks, we will work to connect the storm water drain at major intersections,” he added
CCP Mayor Rohit Monserratte said that CCP has done its work properly. “Last year too, it flooded for one hour and the situation was normal. “
Monserrate had meeting with the Smart city MD on the issue. They have hot-mixed the road but the main gutters are not cleaned. We don’t want it to happen again. We have to work together with the Smart city.”
Mayor also said that they have to listen to everyone without any fault of us.
“We had cleaned the drain but mud from the smart city has gone back in the drain. We are also irritated now. Smart City have to clear the flood points” he added
