PONDA: Claiming that there is no decision yet to join the BJP, Ponda MLA Ravi Naik said that a decision on the same will be conveyed soon.
“I do not know about the rumours but as of now i have not taken any decsion to join the BJP, i will decide about the same by tomorrow and let you all know. I will speak to the media at the right time,” said Naik speaking to media.
There were speculations that Ravi Naik would resign as Congress MLA and would join BJP on Sunday.
Earlier few days back there were speculation of Ravi Naik joining AAP with one of his strong supporters Ashok Naik supporting for Bandari leader as Chief Minister face and even welcomed Chief Minister Arvin Kejrival in Gomantak Bhandari Samaj Office.
As far Ravi Naik is concerned he is believed to be a wise Poltician and often takes decision at last moment. Until elections are declared joining and leaving parties have no importance. Sources says Ravi is joining BJP soon.
Sources claim that if some thing goes wrong he may contest as indpendent at last moment.
The Ponda Congress Block have already given entry to new leader Rajesh Verenkar for Congress and he may be given ticket if Ravi leaves Congress to join BJP. This development took place after Ravi’s both sons joined BJP.
Rajesh Verenkar had contested Ponda Election in 2017 as Independent and secured around 4500 votes.
