PANAJI: Rosary College Navelim, D.M’s College and Research Centre, Assagao and Carnel College move ahead in the Inter-Collegiate Football Championship Women, organised by Goa jniversity.
At Goa University Ground
Rosary College, Navelim defeated Fr. Agnel College, Pilar 5-0. In the first half, Rosary College scored four goals, two goals were scored by Meloshka Carvalho and one each by Aniela Barretto and Lillian Fernandes. In the second half, Rosary College continued their offensive play and scored one more goal which came from Aniela Barretto which sealed the victory for Rosary College 5-0.
At Rosary College Ground
On the first day of the match at Navelim, D.M’s College and Research Centre, Assagao defeated P.E.S’s R.S.N College of Arts and Science, Farmagudi 3-1. In the first half, P.E.S’sR.S.N College opened the scoring by netting one goal which was scored by Syloney Fernandes. In the second half, coming back stronger D.M’s College scored three goals in quick succession which was scored by Ridah Shaikh, Sanjana Mavlankar, and Bhumika Gawander to register a comfortable victory 3-1.
In the second match at Navelim, Carmel College, Nuvem registered a comfortable victory over S.S. DempoCollege, Cujira by the full-time score of 3-0. In the first half, Carmel College showed their full dominance and scored two goals which were scored by Rashal Vaz and Vanisha Vaz. In the second half, another goal for Carmel College from Nayya sealed the victory 3-0.
