New Delhi: On Monday, February 24, in Bhopal, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, unveiled a monumental investment plan for Madhya Pradesh. The conglomerate is set to invest Rs 2.1 lakh crore across various sectors, including pumped storage, cement, mining, smart meters, and thermal energy. This ambitious project aims to generate over 1,20,000 jobs by 2030, marking a significant milestone in the state’s economic journey.
The announcement was made at the Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit, where Adani emphasized that these investments are not merely financial commitments but strategic steps towards positioning Madhya Pradesh as a national leader in industrial and economic growth. He expressed deep confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, highlighting their roles in fostering an environment conducive to investment and growth.
Adani noted that the Adani Group has already invested Rs 50,00 crore in Madhya Pradesh, creating over 25,000 jobs across energy, infrastructure, logistics, and other sectors. He praised Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership, which has transformed India into a trendsetter on the global stage. Additionally, Adani commended Chief Minister Yadav’s efforts in making Madhya Pradesh one of India’s most investment-friendly states.
The Adani Group is also exploring additional investments, including a greenfield smart city, an airport project, and a coal gasification project, which are currently under discussion with the state government. These potential projects could further bolster Madhya Pradesh’s economic landscape.
