MARGAO: Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club defeated Santa Cruz club of Cavelossim 4-2 in the GFA 1st Division League match, at Rosary ground, Navelim.
Reagan Costa opened the scoreline for Areal in the 12th minute but the joy was short-lived as Cidroy Furtado equalised for Cavelossim in the 21st minute, Regan Costa of Areal further inflated the lead in the 44th minute than Delzan Passanha equalised for Cavelossim in the 53rd minutes.
Later Areal fired two more goals through Stalen Oliveira and Aryan Mathews Endro in the 80th and 89th minutes respectively.
