Shane D’ Souza is poised for a triple crown while Aarush Pawaskar, Advait Balakrishnan, Aarohi Coutoncar, Saanvi Audi, Dimple Rivonker, Viraditya Pai Kane, Ayansh Sanke, Avni Khyalia, Amaira Dhumatker, Sparsh Kolwalkar and Aarya Metry are poised for double crowns each, at the All Goa Major Ranking Badminton Tournament. The tournament, organized by the Salcete Badminton Club in collaboration with the Goa Badminton Association and the Sports Authority of Goa, witnessed exciting semi finals matches at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium in Navelim. This tournament holds significant importance as it serves as one of the selection events for the U15 and U17 Sub Junior Nationals, which will be held in Haryana this September. In addition to the ranking categories, non-ranking events were conducted for the U11 and U13 age groups, allowing young talents to showcase their skills.
In the ranking categories, the finals promise intense battles. In the Boys Singles U15 category, top-seed Aarush Pawaskar will face off against second-seed Shane D’Souza. The Girls Singles U15 finals will see the top seed Ritika Chelluri compete against second-seed Dimple Revankar.
For the Boys Singles U17 finals, Advait G Balakrishnan, the top seed, will go up against third-seed Aarush Pawaskar. Ritika Chelluri will once again be in action in the Girls Singles U17 finals, where she will meet Aarohi Coutoncar.
In the Boys Doubles U15 finals, Arnav Saraf and Shane D’Souza will clash with Linesh Virnodkar and Sparsh Kolwalkar. The Girls Doubles U15 finals will feature a contest between Aaryaa Metry and Saanvi Audi and Anaya Kamat and Astrid Dias. In the Mixed Doubles U15 finals, Shane D’Souza and Saanvi Audi will take on Sparsh Kolwalkar and Aaryaa Metry.
In the Boys Doubles U17 finals, Rutav Kanabar and Soham Naik will face Advait Balakrishnan and Owais Tahasildar. The Girls Doubles U17 finals will see Shivanjali Thite and Sufiya Shaikh battling against Aarohi Coutoncar and Dimple Revankar.
In the non-ranking U11 category, the Boys Singles finals will feature top seed Krithik Reddy against Ayansh Sanke, while Amaira Dhumatker will compete against Kanika Pai Vernekar in the Girls Singles U11 finals. In the U13 category, the Boys Singles finals will see Viraditya Pai Kane taking on Aaryan Karpe, while the Girls Singles finals will witness Avni Khyalia facing Pragya Audi.
