PANJIM: The Union Minister for Ayush Shripad Naik has once again tested positive for Covid-19 during RT-PCR test, conducted on Tuesday.
Sources confirmed that Naik has tested positive for the virus but all his vital parameters are normal and stable.
Naik, who was admitted in Manipal hospital on August 14 after testing positive for covid, is currently on High-flow oxygen.
Naik had tested negative during Antigent test conducted on Sunday. Another test will be conducted within 24-48 hours, sources.
The Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that Union Minister’ health is stable and is responding well to treatment. ” He is on high-flow oxygen at present. It will take another two to three days for oxygen level to be normal,” he said.
Sawant said that AIIMS teams that monitored health of Naik is satisfied with the line of treatment given to him and hence said that there is no need to shift him to Delhi for now.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister informed that health condition of MGP MLA Ramakrishna Dhavalikar and NCP MLA Churchill Alemao, both who are admitted in Manipal, is stable.
He also said that BJP MLA Nilkanth Halarnkar and Congress MLA Ravi Naik, who are in home isolation, are also recovering.
