PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday announced extension of the `curfew’ imposed in the state on account of the coronavirus pandemic till June 28.
“State-level curfew will be extended till 7 am, 28 June 2021. Shops in shopping malls, except cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes, entertainment zones allowed to be open between 7 am to 3 pm. Fish market may also open,” he tweeted.
The curfew was first imposed on May 9 this year and has been extended several times since then. The coastal state witnessed an infection positivity rate of as high as 51 percent during the second wave of the pandemic, which later dipped.
1. The following activities/establishment/facilities/events shall remain closed:
a. casinos. b. bars,
c. restaurants, (however restaurant kitchens will be allowed to provide home
delivery/takeaways), d. shops (except as at the point no. 3, below).
e. sports complex/auditoriums/community halls or similar places, f. river cruises/waterparks/entertainment parks,
E gym/spa/massage parlours/saloon,
h. cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes, entertainment zones within Shopping malls.

schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions for students (however,
examinations of college students and holding competitive examinations will be
permitted with the approval of the Government),
k. religious places for the public, however the custodian of such establishments may
carry out regular activities,

2. The following activities will be prohibited:
a. social/political/sports/entertainment/academic/cultural functions, and other congregations, (except for events with the permission of the government). However, marriage function with 50 people or less is permitted with the approval of DM/SDM, cremation with 20 people or less is permitted,
b. gathering of five or more persons at public places, except for official
functions or with permission from DM/SDM,
e. inter-state movement for persons except
i.for those carrying Covid negative test report for a test done a
maximum of 72 hours prior to entering in Goa,
ii. persons entering in Goa for medical emergencies on production of proof therefore,
two drivers and one helper per goods vehicle. However, the Police or the other authorities will have to scan such persons with the thermal guns to see whether they display any symptoms and if they display any symptoms then the Police or the other authorities should deny access to such persons within the State of Goa.
d. use of buses except for people going for duty purpose and medical emergencies, with a maximum capacity of 50%;
3. The following shall be exceptions to the above restrictions/prohibitions at para 1& 2:
a. shops selling medicines/drugs and related activities,
b. shops (including in Municipal/Panchayat markets/Shopping malls) NORTH may remain open from 7 am to 3 pm (home delivery of all these items, except liquor, will be allowed anytime)
Banks, insurance, custom clearance, ATMs, microfinance institutions.
etc.,
d. all medical and health services/institutions (including AYUSH and Veterinary Hospitals, and laboratories) to remain functionals.
e. Operations of homes for children/disabled/intellectually disabled/senior citizens/destitutes/women/widows, etc.
f. Observation homes, after care homes and places of safety for juveniles, etc.,
g. all facilities in the supply chain of essential goods, whether involved in wholesale or retail of such goods through local stores, large brick and mortar stores or e-Commerce companies.
h. cold storage and warehousing services,
i. canteens/restaurants on the premise of the permitted establishments
catering to only inhouse staff/residents may remain j. all industries/factories and related activities,
functional,
k. all constructions and related activities, including repairs.
1. shops/stores related to house/building repairs, monsoon preparedness. or rain protection,
m. agricultural and related activities,
n. offices of Central and State Government offices, their attach and subordinate offices, PSUs, local bodies, and related activities, Courts and their related activities, functioning of airport and railways and related activities,
o. Public utilities (including petroleum, CNG, LPG, PNG), power generation, and transmission units, post and courier offices, water. sanitation and related activities, including vehicles repairs, hardware shops, etc.,
p. hotels and hospitality sector, for inhouse guests/residents/staff.
q. the print and electronic media, and related activities,
r. telecommunication and internet services, and related activities.
s. LPG cylinder services;
4. The following advisory is issued for strict compliances:
a. All persons above 18 years of age are advised to get themselves vaccinated at the nearby vaccination centre;
b. All non-government employers are advised to actively plan for and promote work from home for the employees working in their shops/establishments/factories and physical presence should be sought only if essential,
e. All employers should enforce staggered timings for arrival and
departure of their employees, and all covid appropriate behaviour/norms should be enforced at the workplaces, d. All employers are advised to ensure that employees with symptoms, like cough, cold, fever, or if they are short of breath, etc., are to
remain home and take appropriate medical care,
e. Crowding in lifts, staircases, corridors, common areas including
refreshment kiosk and parking areas is to be strictly avoided,
f. Divyangs and parents with children having special needs are advised.

Additional restrictions imposed in Covid Containment Zones shall remain in
force.
Any person contravening this order shall be punishable under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
