MARGAO: South Goa district Collector Ajit Roy said that the state government stopped making it mandatory to obtain entry permits and transit passes months ago and at present only requires individuals to reveal their Covid-19 status.
As per the order, an entrant who wishes to travel to the state will hold a Covid 19 test report which is valid for 48 hours from the date of test upon which the concerned person will have to move for home isolation for a period of 14 days.
The central government has lifted all restrictions on passenger and goods’ movement for both inter-state and intra-state travel. Reportedly, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has written to all Union Territories and state and chief secretaries on the same.
The centre has also communicated that any such imposition would henceforth be treated as violation of the guidelines issued by the MHA.
