PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today informed that the swab tests of 12 UK returnees to Goa have tested negative for UK strain of corona virus.
He informed that more reports which have been sent to NIV Pune are awaited.
Addressing the media, Rane said that 12 swab samples of UK returnees to Goa have tested negetive for mutant strain of virus.
“More results which have been sent to Pune lab are awaited,” Rane said
He further informed that the UK returnees and their contacts who have tested positive for COVID-19 will continue will continue to be in ESI for isolation pending report and that there will be a 17 days home isolation thereafter.
The health minister said that as of now
966 passengers have arrived in Goa from UK and from that count no passenger has tested positive for UK mutant strain.
He added, “Department will procure 2 machines one each in North and South Goa for increasing capacity of RT-PCR testing,”
