PANJIM: Former Minister and BJP leader Ramesh Tawadkar appointed as Chairperson of SC-ST Commission.
“In pursuance to the approval of the Government accorded video U.O.No.4309/F dated 14/09/2020 and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 read with amendment of section 6 of the Goa Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act, 2010 (Goa Act 9 of 2010) the Government of Goa is pleased to appoint Ramesh B. Tawadkar, R/o. H.No.22/1 Amone, Poinguinim, Canacona Goa, as Chairperson of the Goa Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes with immediate effect,” the order states
The order further states that the Chairperson shall unless otherwise disqualified, hold office for a term of three years from the date he assumes office or untill he attains the age of Sixty Seven years whichever is earlier.
