VASCO: Congress vice-president Sankalp Amonkar has demanded immediate sacking of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and imposing President’s role in the State.
He said the former Goa Governor’s interview reveals the truth in State government functioning during COVID19 pandemic.
“Governor Satyapal Malik expose on Goa Government corruption has proved that our demands for a lockdown during the pandemic was genuine,” he stated at press conference.
He said the Urban Development Minister Milind Naik is the sole culprit, and it was only because of his business interests in port that there was no lockdown, which has got shame to Goa Government.
“Naik must either resign on moral grounds, or the Chief Minister must sack him immediately and investigate Naik in other cases like iron ore theft in port and mishandling of Naptha and Nu Shi Nalini ship,” Amonkar said.
Speaking on Govenror’s allegation of corruption, Amonkar said that the police must now use the statement of the Governor and register our complaint filed on 28th July 2020
“BJP President Sadanand Shet Tanavade can file a complaint against Malik at a local police station instead of writing to PM. They have been exposed,” he said.
“It is time for enforcing a presidents rule in Goa,” GPCC Vice President Sankalp Amonkar.
