MARGAO: The South Goa District Magistrate has ordered temporary traffic restrictions on the road stretch from KTC Bus Stand, Fatorda, to Old Market Circle, Fatorda, from September 24 to October 10, 2026, to facilitate beautification works.
As per the traffic advisory issued by the Goa Traffic Police on September 23, only one lane will remain available for vehicular movement in each direction along the stretch.
Two-wheelers travelling from Old Market towards KTC Bus Stand may take a left turn near SFX Chapel, pass through the newly developed parking area and exit near KTC Bus Stand, opposite Raigad Restaurant.
Motorists heading towards the District Court Complex can take a left near Eagle Warehouse (SGPDA Market entry), proceed up to the Water Tank intersection and continue towards the District Court Complex/SGPDA parking area via INOX.
Traffic towards Fatorda/Borda will be diverted via Ravindra Bhavan Road towards Dambab Circle. Motorists travelling from Panaji towards Colva may use the Western Bypass and exit at Khareband.
Commuters have been advised to avoid the Old Market–KTC Bus Stand road stretch and use alternative routes, including the Eastern Bypass via Arlem Junction or the Western Bypass via Khareband.
