PONDA: The traffic on Khandepar-Savoiverem road was blocked due to a container truck from 6.30 am onwards causing hardship to passenger buses, office goers and school students.
The incident occurred today morning when a huge 18-wheeler container truck proceeding towards one Fullaton Company at Mudi Khandepar lost control and front wheel trapped in roadside trench while taking reverse on the narrow road leading to blocking of the entire road, causing traffic jams on Savoiverem Khandepar road.
It is learnt that the truck was proceeding towards Fullaton Company for loading material in a truck. However, the truck reached 1 km far away from the location of Fullaton Company.
After realising it, the truck driver stopped and made an attempt to reverse the vehicle to take U turn to proceed back to Fullaton Company. However, his attempt was failed, and in the process, the vehicle was trapped on the narrow road after the front wheels trapped at the roadside.
The truck was not cleared even after 9.30 am today.
