MARGAO: In view of the forthcoming Goa Legislative Assembly Election 2027, a training programme was conducted for Sector Officers and Sector Police Officers assigned election-related duties at the Office of the Collectorate, South Goa District.
The training was conducted by Dr Shantanu Gauns, NLMT (ECI), and Dr Nilesh B. Fal Dessai, Director, Department of Archaeology, Mala, Panaji.
The programme focused on strengthening the preparedness of Sector Officers and Sector Police Officers by providing guidance on their election-related responsibilities and field-level coordination.
Participants were also briefed on the maintenance of law and order and other aspects essential for ensuring the smooth and effective conduct of the electoral process.
The training forms part of the preparations for the 2027 Goa Legislative Assembly Election and is aimed at ensuring that officers entrusted with field-level election responsibilities are adequately prepared for their duties.
