VALPOI – A truck carrying a laterite stone lost control and fell into Murmune river, near Melauli, this morning.
The accident took place between Guleli and Melauli. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The incident took place on Friday morning.
The truck GA01 T 8347. was on its way to Guleli from Melauli area when suddenly the driver lost control and fell into the river.
Meanwhile, according to the information given by the citizens, two more workers were sitting in the truck, but they jumped to safety.
For the last several years, citizens have been demanding the construction of a protective wall at the place where the accident took place.
Because the river Ragada flows along the road. Due to this, a large number of accidents have taken place from time to time.
The villagers have demanded that the government erect a protective wall at the site immediately.
Meanwhile, the local Panch and Sarpanch Apoorva Chari said that a proposal had been submitted to Water Resources department Department.
