Margao: “Godman and Betrayer Digambar Kamat should feel ashamed to call himself a “Fighter”. I am a former Defence Personnel. I was in the Navy and also a Kargil War veteran. True Fighters don’t run away like Cowards,” stated Congress South Goa Candidate Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
He was reacting to the statement made by turncoat Margao MLA Digambar Kamat claiming to be a fighter. Digambar Kamat has also claimed to be an Achiever. If he means what he says, Why did he not manage to get Congress Candidates elected in Navelim, Curtorim, and Benaulim which are around Margao in 2022? questioned Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
He was leading the Congress Elections Campaign in 2022. He gave us the Oath in front of God to remain loyal to Congress and finally, he himself betrayed God and ran away, said Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
He had to amend the Municipal Act to ensure the victory of his “Yes Sir” Councillor Damodar Shirodkar who had to face humiliating defeat during the first attempt, Capt. Viriato Fernandes said.
“I don’t think even my contender BJP Candidate will trust the Betrayer of Goa who took Oath at Temple, Holy Cross and Dargah and defected to BJP for selfish gains,” said Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
“I am very confident that Margao will vote in favour of Congress. Citizens of Margao are God-fearing and they will not change colours as the habitual defector has done in the past. I am very confident of getting leads in most of the booths with the support and blessing of Voters of Margao,” said Capt. Viriato
It is very sad that Digambar Kamat took Margao Citizens for granted for his selfish gains. He is responsible for the Deterioration of Margao. I humbly appeal to the People of Margao to give their blessings to me, said Capt. Viriato Fernandes
