Margao: An unidentified man, believed to be around 60–65 years old, was found dead near Old Station Road in Margao late on Friday night. The body was brought to the South Goa District Hospital by the 108 Emergency Service.
According to police sources, the deceased was a beggar and a chronic alcoholic who had been living on the footpath in the area for a long time. He was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
The body has been preserved for medico-legal formalities. Margao Town Police have registered the case as unnatural death, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Sameer Gaonkar.
