Vasco: Police are investigating the death of an unidentified man, believed to be a beggar, whose body was found lying on a footpath near Tilak Maidan, Kharewaddo.
According to police, information was first received from Robot staff, and 108 ambulance personnel later confirmed the man’s death at the scene. The deceased, estimated to be between 55 and 60 years old, had no identification on him.
An inquest and scene of Unnatural Death (UD) panchanama were conducted before the body was sent to South Goa District Hospital, Margao, for preservation and further medico-legal procedures.
Further investigation is underway under LPSI Priyanka Patil of Vasco Police Station.
