An Uttar Pradesh man was arrested for being in possession of Charas worth ₹ 75000.
Anjuna police said that on 18/09/2020, PSI Akshay H. Parsekar. Sidhesh Naik, Mahendra Mandrekar, Rajesh Gokharnekar, Krishna Bugde, and Sarvesh Salgaonkar of Anjuna Police Station, upon photo information, conducted narcotic raid on 18/09/2020 between 22.50 hrs to 01.05 hrs of 19/09/2020 at near Siolim church football ground, Ingrezwado, Marna, Siolim, Bardez, Goa.
During the raid one accused person namely Shoaib Ansari s/o Nurul Ansari, age 31 yrs, Occ Waiter, R/o Flat No 104, 1′ Floor, Casa Siolim, Vaddy, Goa, to Nizampur, Bhadohi, Tehsil-Gyanpur, Sant Ravidas nagar, Uttar Pradesh was found in possession 74.6 grams of narcotic drugs suspected to be Charas W/Rs 75,000/- approximately, illegally which was concealed in a Bluish colour Honda Activa scooter no. GA-03-AN-4714.
The said illegal suspected Narcotic drugs along with other exhibits have been seized under the panchanama, after following all mandatory provisions of NDPS Act.
Upon the State complaint of PSI Akshay H. Parsekar of Anjuna PS, an offence is registered U/s 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act. Accused person is placed under arrest in the above crime.
