PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that Vaccination will now be made mandatory in Goa for all those who come in regular contact with children below 18 years of age such as staff of educational institutions.
“Such personnel who do not comply will not be allowed to attend their workplace till such time they take their vaccine, for the safety of our children,” said CM Sawant while making the announcement.
Sawant chaired the Task Force meeting today to review the preparedness for 3rd Wave.
“The Govt has accepted various suggestions of expert committee, including mandatory vaccination for all those who come in regular contact with children below age of 18,such as staff of educational institutions,” he added.
Goa government also appointed seven junior scale officers of Goa Civil Service (Group A gazatted) on the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission.
Those appointed are Shubham Mohan Naik, Ganesh Krishnakumar Barve, Yogiraj Prakash Gosavi, Ashwini Abhay Gauns Dessai, Girish Gopal Sawant, Sitaram Gurudas Sawal (OBC), Manohar Lavu Karekar (OBC).
