VASCO: Prominent leaders, including Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar, MMC Chairperson Girish Borkar, and Vasco BJP Mandal President Deepak Naik, attended the Vir Bal Diwas program at Mangor Gurudwara. The event commemorated the heroic sacrifice of Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the young sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who laid down their lives for their faith and principles.
The program featured a special talk recounting the courage and resilience of the two Sahibzadas. Despite their tender ages, they refused to abandon their faith under immense duress, leaving an indelible mark on Sikh history.
The leaders, alongside other attendees, paid tribute to the bravery of the Sahibzadas. Speaking at the event, Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar said, “The sacrifices of Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji are an inspiration to all of humanity. Their steadfastness in the face of adversity teaches us the value of principles and faith.”
Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the need for the younger generation to learn from the lives of the Sahibzadas.
The program also included hymns and prayers in memory of the martyrs, creating a solemn and reflective atmosphere. Community members expressed gratitude to the Gurudwara for organizing the event and fostering interfaith respect and understanding.
Vir Bal Diwas, officially recognized to honor the sacrifices of the Sahibzadas, serves as a poignant reminder of their unparalleled courage and enduring legacy.
