MARGAO: BJP’s South Goa candidate Pallavi Dempo has hit out at Congress candidate Capt Viriato Fernandes for his statement saying he is ignorant of her social work.
She also termed the comments as gender bias.
“Captain Viriato’s comments about me are not only unfortunate but show clear ignorance. First, he doesn’t know me at all. Second, he completely ignores my work in social service, spanning over two decades across various sectors like sports, education, media, and culture,” she said in social media post.
Pallavi said Viriato’s comments show a deep gender bias. “The assertion that a woman doesn’t understand household issues is sad & unfortunate. However, I will focus on a positive campaign, highlighting the impactful work done by Modi ji, his vision for a Viksit Bharat by 2047, and the positive initiatives I plan to bring to the people of South Goa,” she stated.
