PANAJI: Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, expressed his happiness over the strong turnout that the coastal state’s two Lok Sabha seats saw in Tuesday’s third phase of voting.
In the North Goa and South Goa seats, where voting took place on Tuesday, the state recorded a voter turnout of 74.27 percent, according to preliminary figures made public by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
CM Sawant expressed his gratitude to all Goans for their high voter turnout in a video message. The previous record was 72% polling, which we surpassed today.”
“We value democracy.” I’m hoping that “Viksit Bharat” will become a reality. The Chief Minister declared, “I am sure the BJP will win both seats in Goa.”
Industrialist Pallavi Dempo is running for the South Goa seat in the BJP, while Union Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Naik is running from North Goa.
The chief minister added that there were no unpleasant incidents during the state’s peaceful election process.
A few political figures attempted to stir up trouble. However, everyone kept the peace and the elections went off without a hitch,” he said.
