VASCO: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant distributed financial assistance cheques of ₹1 lakh each to 106 traders whose shops were gutted in the devastating fire at Vasco’s Sunday Market.
The financial assistance is aimed at helping the affected traders recover from their losses and resume business following the incident.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Sawant assured them that the second instalment of financial assistance would be released within a month, providing further support towards rebuilding their businesses.
MLA Krishna Salkar, MLA Sankalp Amonkar and District Collector Egna Cleetus were present at the cheque distribution ceremony.
The assistance is expected to provide immediate financial relief to the affected shopkeepers as they work towards restoring their livelihoods
