PANAJI: A day after 21 people succumbed to the dreaded COVID19 virus, 12 more lost their lives even as Government said that there was no shortage of Oxygen in the State.
Apart from the 12 deaths, Goa registered 1420 new cases and 596 recoveries.
The active cases have now reached 11,040 as total cases since last year reached 73644. With 596 recoveries, the total recoveries stand at 61,628. Total death toll is 976.
So far the State has tested 6,09,932 samples.
On Friday 146 more patients were admitted in different hospitals.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that “In view of the rising cases in the state of Goa, we have resumed telephone service for OPD appointments at GMC.”
“In our bid to ensure out-patient facilities are catered to without any hassle during this unprecedented time, it is advisable to book prior appointment,” he said.
