PANAJI: Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said the state government is exploring all possible legal options, including approaching the Supreme Court, to ensure Scheduled Tribe (ST) reservation in the Goa Legislative Assembly ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
The Chief Minister said the government is also examining alternative legal avenues to overcome existing hurdles and ensure the implementation of ST reservation before the next Assembly elections.
Sawant further stated that he had personally discussed the matter with Union Home Minister Amit Shah during a meeting on Thursday.
“We are making every possible effort to ensure ST reservation for the 2027 Assembly elections,” the Chief Minister said.
