SANGUEM: The Sanvordem Truck Association on Friday met the Deputy Collector of Sanguem, raising objections to the Mining Department’s decision to include 100 trucks from Curchorem in mining transportation operations.
The association reportedly objected to the decision, stating that the inclusion of the additional trucks was being considered without taking the people of Sanvordem into confidence.
During the meeting, the association placed its concerns before the Deputy Collector and sought intervention in the matter.
Following discussions, the Deputy Collector directed the association to submit its demands and objections in writing. He also assured the members that the issue would be resolved within two days.
The proposed inclusion of 100 Curchorem trucks has triggered opposition from the Sanvordem truck operators, who are seeking consideration of local stakeholders before any decision is implemented.
