PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has informed that the Goa Lokayukta had 194 cases registered till date out of which158 cases stand disposed.

He further said that the agency to which cases have been referred are investigating into the matters as per the reference made and in some matters Department Proceedings are initiated and in some matter Anti Corruption Branch is investigating the matters.
Speaking on appointment of Lokayukta, CM said that Government has already initiated the process of appointment of Lokayukta and is under process for consideration of appointment of suitable person as a Lokayukta.
“Government will appoint the Lokayukta as early as possible and the process is under consideration,”he added
