MARGAO: The State government on Friday fulfilled the long-pending demands of the Tribal people by distributing 27 sanads.
The sanads were handed over at the hands of TRibal Minister Govind Gawade.
South Goa Collector Ruchika Katiyal said the sanads were distributed under the Forest Rights Act.
?All this is possible only because of Minister of tribal affairs Govind Gawade as he has been personally looking into the matter and is analysing each and every minute things,” the collector said.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Tribal Welfare Govind Gawade said that he is feeling happy today that the long pending demand of tribals is getting fulfilled in my tenure.
“I thank all officers staff who worked day and night to clear the cases under forest right. I should especially thank South Goa collectsurveyhika Katiyal for extra efforts and seeing that the work gets speed,” he said.
The minister further said that the shortage of surveyors is the main problem to solve the cases.
“Now we have asked the private agency who had done the servey of Kumeri farming; once the agency comes onboard definitely the work will be speed. This is a pleasing movement as the real Bhumiputra will get the right of their land,” said minister Govind Gawade.
