PANAJI: TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that he has received 35 complaints pertaining to various illegalities on day one of the launch of the email address.
“The people of Goa have shown great confidence in us; with just day one of the launch of our email address for reporting illegalities, we have received 35 complaints,” said Rane.
He further said that the complaints received had been successfully forwarded to the respective departments (Town and Country Planning & Forest Department) by our office so that necessary action can be initiated.
“I am grateful & appreciative that our people have confidence in us, which has given us the required boost to take prompt action to safeguard the interests of our beautiful landscapes and the people of Goa,” he added.
Rane also urged the people to continue reporting such illegalities in our state.
The minister said that he had received various complaints where people have mentioned how they are being forced to sell their lands along with complaints of threats that if they don’t sell their properties, their properties would be in ODPs and converted to orchards, open spaces and other zones by which they will not be able to use it for any constructive purpose.
Rane, on June 21, had launched an email to report any illegalities or destruction done to land/ protected areas/eco-sensitive zones.
