PONDA: Eight young unemployed youth from Usgao, including seven girls and one boy, have complained to Ponda Police against an accused alleging that they were cheated to the tune of around seven to eight lakhs by promising to provide jobs in Bank.
According to the complainants, the incident occurred around three months back at Usgao when the accused asked girls to deposit money, assuring that they would get jobs in Bank in return.
All these unemployed girls hoping that they would get jobs in Bank deposited hard-earned money with the accused to the tune of a few lakhs.
After this, the alleged accused formed one cooperative society at Usgao and asked them to sit in that society, but did not pay them a salary for the past three months; the girls suspected that they had been cheated and filed a complaint with the police.
