CANACONA: A 26-year-old Youth (Sunny Pagi) of Agonda ended life by hanging in his house on Wednesday night.
According to sources, the youth locked himself in one of the rooms and reportedly made calls and messages apologising for his behaviour and seeking their forgiveness before taking the extreme step.
Sources further informed that the family members alternately staying in another house came looking out for the non-contactable Sunny, and saw one of the rooms of the house was locked from the inside.
The brother and father broke the door only to see motionless Sunny was seen hanging in the room at about 10.30 pm on Wednesday night.
Police suspect the deceased took the extreme step somewhere between 8.00-9 pm.
Canacona police recovered the body and sent it for postmortem at SGDH.
PSI Swadesh Dessai is investigating the case under the direct supervision of Canacona PI Harish Raut Desai.
