PANAJI:Panjim, Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) has said that rift between health minister V S Rane and CM Pramod Sawant is growing day by day. The lack of coordination between them has caused a lot of damage to the Covid Pandemic response of the state. Goans are suffering because of a lack of focus on providing necessary facilities.
V S Rane was always ambitious of becoming CM of Goa one day and has been in the news for toppling the Govt. In 2019, V S Rane’s alleged telephonic conversation with a Journalist was all over the news in which he was talking about toppling the Govt. V S Rane was so sure of becoming CM of Goa after Manohar Parikar’s demise, but then Pramod Sawant took over as CM.
“Goans are witnessing the deep divide between CM and HM from the past few years; it has become more prominent since Covid pandemic. During the initial days, CM used to do a press conference briefing daily Health bulletin. There was always a mismatch between figures quoted by HM Rane and CM Sawant. Health bulletin published wrong figures for successive 15 days for Home Isolation patients which showed that there is a serious lack of coordination between CM and HM. Goans are paying for their personal differences and colliding political ambitions.”, said Surel Tilve.
Pratapsingh Rane’s statement about the reconsideration of the IIT project at village Mellauli is another addition to the differences. We can see that CM Sawant is pushing so hard for IIT. Still, Pratapsingh Rane’s remark of reconsideration tells a different story and exposes. It is a clear indication that all is not well between HM Rane and CM Sawant. HM Vishswajit Rane has not only lost the confidence of the Chief Minister. But he needs to put his own house in order first; the family legacy he always boasts and draws a political capital.
“What is the fault of Goans? Why CM Sawant and HM Rane are sacrificing the interest of Goans for their political ambitions? These are difficult times; we request both CM Sawant and HM Rane to shed their ego and work together for the benefit of Goans. Their differences are coming heavily on the life of Goans. We have already lost 500 people to this deadly Covid, on behalf of Goans we request both of them to work for Goans”, said Surel Tilve.
Inclusion of DDSSY scheme for Covid treatment in Private hospital was a pro Goans step but succumbed to the personal ego of CM Sawant and HM Rane. Goans are suffering, with Covid situation is worsening day by day. Businesses are not running, and unemployment is on the rise. Our only hope is that Govt realises its duty towards Goans and CM Sawant and HM Rane can work together, keeping their political ambitions aside.
