DABOLIM: Amidst the Omicron Scare, Goa International Airport has ramped up testing, registration and scanning of international passengers arriving into the state.
Goa Airport tweeted and updated about the day today airport operations and precautionary measures being taken by their team for the safety of the people amidst Omicron variant scar after a boy with a travel history to UK was found positive for Omicron variant recently.
“With the Omicron variant surfacing in most of the states in India as well as abroad, Goa Airport has tightened its safety and precautionary measures. Testing, registration and scanning is happening smoothly at the airport,” said AAI Goa Airport
Goa airport this morning also showcased about how the airport is operating with the utmost precautions and with safety.
“GoI Health guidelines mandates,all pax originating/transiting from ‘at-risk’ countries need to undergo testing upon Arrival. UK Arrival pax proceed towards testing area after collecting their baggage. Necessary assistance extended” it said
Goa Airport also highlighted that it continues to resume London to Goa connection continues under Vande Bharat Mission
“The 106th VBM flight arrived from London Heathrow Airport today morning. Arrival pax had to undergo thermal screening and Immigration formalities,” AAI said
Airport also mentioned how flawlessly and smoothly registration, swab testing process is being taking place on the arrival of the overseas passengers.
“Team Goa is striving to provide comfortable arrangements for smooth testing process and expeditious delivery of test result. Few Glimpses of Arriving UK Pax undergoing registration, swab collection and comfortably waiting for their test result” it added
