PANAJI: Ahead of battle for 2022 polls, the Union Minister for Home and Senior BJP leader Amit Shah guided MLAs and leaders to stay connected with the people to ensure complete majority for the elections.
Shah, however, has left it to the State BJP unit to decide on the alliance issue.
Emerging from the meeting, the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that various election strategies were discussed & chalked during the meeting.
Sawant said that Shah also discussed about what role each MLA, Karyakarta or Core Committee should play and unitedly take the BJP to victory.
BJP Goa election in-charge Devendra Fadnavis, Goa desk in-charge CT Ravi were also present for the meeting.
Union Home Minister for State for Tourism Shripad Naik said that alliance option has been left up to the State unit by Shah. He said necessary recommendation will be made to the High Command on the alliance front.
“For currently no meeting fixed regarding alliance,” Naik said.
Minister Mauvin Godinho said that they have given their inputs to Amit Shah & the meeting was regarding elections.
When questioned about state unit giving input that an alliance is needed? Mauvin replied stating he cannot say what input they gave but said that he cannot deny too.
