PANAJI: The Crime Branch today has formed a four-member SIT after taking over the investigation in the house demolition at Assagao.
The 4-member SIT has been formed and is headed by DySP Rajesh Kumar with PI Ninad Deulkar, PI Laxi Amonkar and PI Vikas Deykar under the supervision of Rahul Gupta IPS, SP Crime.
Upon taking over the investigation and based on initial evidence sections 440, 447, 448, 352, 354, 143 147, 148 r/w 149, 120B IPC have been added to the case for Criminal trespass, Assault, And Rioting.
Moreover, the crime branch has arrested one conspirator today namely Ashfak Kadir Sheikh S/O Abdul Kadir Sheikh 40 years r/o Mangoor Vasco who provided vehicle white Hyundai Creta to the main accused for commission of the crime.
The same vehicle was captured in Footage captured from the scene of the crime. The said vehicle has been seized too.
