PANAJI: The Sessions court today has adjourned hearing in Pooja Sharma anticipatory bail application to Friday. Sharma is booked in connection with Assagao house demolition case.
Adv Surendra Desai appearing for the applicant said that the allegations against her are false.
Following eight days of her disappearance, Sharma filed a motion in Sessions Court after the Goa police served her with two summons requesting her appearance for an investigation into the partial demolition of a house on June 22 at Bairo Alto, Assagao.
However, Sharma was not at her Chandivali, Mumbai, home, therefore none of the notifications issued under Section 41 A of the CrPC could be delivered.
Sharma said in her plea for anticipatory bail that she hadn’t been to the State since January of this year. Sharma, who bought the land with Survey No. 135/1-A in September of last year, claims that Chrys Pinto, the vendor, informed her that the structure was his and that he would transfer it to her once he left.
