PANAJI: The trial court at Merces has remanded Israeli national Yaniv Benaim, alias Atala, to 14 days of judicial custody in connection with the ongoing drugs case.
Benaim was produced before the court following the latest developments in the case. The court subsequently ordered that he be kept in judicial custody for the next 14 days.
Advocate Manguirish Usgaonkar, who is appearing for Benaim, said that his client’s bail application is currently pending before the High Court.
