Team Goemkarponn Ponda: A man has been booked for allegedly kidnapping a minor girl from Shiroda, Ponda. Police said the incident occurred on August 5 at around 1 pm, when the accused, identified as Shantilal Dangi of Farmagudi, Ponda, originally from Rajasthan, allegedly took the girl away from her lawful guardianship and confined her at an unknown location. Team Goemkarponn Ponda: Two persons have been arrested in connection with a temple theft reported at Bethoda, Ponda, last month. According to police, the incident occurred between 8:30 pm on July 15 and 9:30 am the next day, when unknown persons allegedly broke open the main door latch of the Betal Temple and forced open the donation box, stealing approximately ₹3,000 in cash. Following investigation, police arrested suspects Shravan Shetkar of Bandora, Ponda, and Ritesh Pereira of Kundaim, Ponda, on August 7.
