Team Goemkarponn PANAJI: Under the road safety yearly plan, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has issued a tender of Rs 34.22 crore for the construction of a flyover at the Dhargal, Pernem blackspot. In accordance with the Road Safety Annual Plan 2024–2025, MoRTH has requested bids for the building of a flyover at Dhargal from km 494.418 to km 494.548 on Nh 66 in order to correct blackspot ID No.013 (2016 18 Series) on EPC mode. The project must be finished in 540 days, or 1.5 years.

Team Goemkarponn PANAJI: A 29-year-old Tanzanian national was taken into custody by the Mapusa Police on Friday for allegedly remaining in Goa for too long. Police said that Agata Costantino Unija, the accused, was apprehended for entering the state without a valid passport or visa. According to authorities, she was arrested in Bhatiwado-Parra. Section 6(a) of the Passport (Entry Into India) Rule 1950 and Section 14 of the Foreigners Act 1946 have been used to register an offense.

Team Goemkarponn MERCES: A 34-year-old maid from Karnataka who lives in Candolim has been arrested by Old Goa Police on suspicion of stealing gold ornaments valued at Rs 5 lakh from a Mestabhat-Merces apartment. Sidney Mesir reported the incident to the police, stating that it occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kashibai Nayak, 34, the accused, was employed as a maid in the apartment.
