Goemkarponn Desk COLVALE: Colva police are on lookout for Karnataka native youth who has been allegedly involved in sexually assaulting a minor girl for the past two years by blackmailing her. The accused is identified as Prashant Bastadkar from Khanapur, Belgaum. As per police, Prashant clicked objectionable photos of the girl and by threatening to make the photos viral he sexually assaulted the girl for nearly two years. He also started demanding money from her. Finally, the girl confided in her family and the family filed a complaint at the Colva Police Station.

Goemkarponn Desk PANAJI: Rs 100 crore has been sanctioned to Goa University for upgradation as Multi-Disciplinary Education & Research University (MERU) under Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan. The decision was taken during the Project Approval Board (PAB) meeting of PM-USHA. The amount approved for Goa University under the scheme is Rs 999,920,109. To transform Goa University into MERU, the erstwhile departments of the University have already been amalgamated into various Schools based on their functional similarities.
