In view of the forthcoming festivities and the New Year, the Union Government has authorised the release of an additional installment of tax devolution amounting to Rs 72,961.21 crore to all the states for financing various social welfare measures and infrastructure development schemes. Goemkarponn Desk PANAJI: Goa government has notified the Goa Motor Vehicles Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2023 rationalising the tax slabs structure and capping road tax on high end vehicles. The tax on high-end vehicles has been capped to a maximum of Rs 15 lakh. Similarly, the tax on high-end motorcycles above Rs 3 lakh has been capped to a maximum of Rs 1.5 lakh.
